Hey everybody. This is all a bit confusing to me, and I might need more time to come up with a tech tree, but here's the history.
Franchise: Battlestar Galactica (Cylons)
Leader: Command Centurian Vulpa
Base: a Cylon Basestar (a kind of captial ship)
History: The Cylons were once a race of sentiant reptiles. At one point, they encountered humans and thaught "hey, if I was gonna make a robot for menial labor, I would make it shaped like that ". These robots were a bit larger, and quite a bit stronger then humans. It is unknown what happend to these Cylons, exept that they died out a very long time ago (But it is implied that a Satin-like entity had a hand in their destruction, and perhaps it also made the Cylon robots more violent. The Imperious Leader speaks with this entitie's voice, and the voice engrams are passed on to the next one if the Imperious leader is destroyed). Their robotic creations survived and assumed the names of their creators. It's probable that they find flesh and blood races dangerous (You know, because they're emotional and illogical etc.), and they run an intersteller empire bent on subjugating them. It is said the Cylon Imperious Leader still resembles the ancient reptilian race that created them, and it customarily has a pet lizard on its person.
When the Cylons invaded one of humanities neighbors, (according to Commander Adama of the Battlestar Galactica, the Cylon's goal was enslavement of the race), the 12 colonies of man intervined, and the Cylons declared war on them. This war lasted 1000 years, and ended when one of the colonie's Council of the Twelve made a deal with the Imperious Leader. The council member (Count Baltar) was to recieve total control over a subjugated humanity. He served as a liason between the two factions, and convinced the rest of the council that the Cylons wanted peace. On the day of the piece conference, Baltar was able to manipulate the human fleet to make it and the 12 colonies especially vulnerable. Unfortunatly for him, the Cylon's actual goal was the complete anhiliation of humanity. The colonies and the fleet were completly destroyed, and billions were killed. Humanity was all but wiped out.
All that survived was one battlestar, and a rag tag handfull of civilian vessels. Their last hope is to find the mythical 13th tribe, who founded the lost colony; a shining planet known as Earth.
I'm a bit confused about how you make up a big tree before you start, but I'll get to work on it. Has this game already started?
