FORCE [glow=red,2,300]DOOM[/glow] Hellspawn
Commander: The Icon of Sin
Sub-commander/ messenger: The Spider mastermind
Stronghold: The Hellgate
History:
In the alternate dimension known as Hell, forces to grotesque to imagine are commonplace. The most depraved and violent acts happen there on a regular basis, corpses spiraling through space like puppets, disgusting amalgamations of flesh and steel arising as technology in other universes become more and more advanced. Endless souls stream into Hell through some unseen force everyday, providing endless delights for the depraved entities of Hell, the demons.
THE FIRST CRUSADE
Yet hell hungered for more, the paltry numbers of natural deaths not satisfying the demons’ thirst for chaos and torture. The demons began a campaign to infiltrate into another dimension, a feat that they succeeded in due to the follies of a race dabbling in portal technology on the planet Mars. While the demons scoured the race from existence, the very things that they sought to gain defeated them, souls.
THE ONLY WAY…
A weapon, dubbed the “Soul Cube”, was fashioned by the few remaining survivors of the demons assault. These brave survivors gave their lives to power the device, rendering their race extinct in the process. The weapon’s insane power drove the demons back to their dimension, and they were forced to delay their operation for quite some time.
THE COMING OF MAN
However, millennia later, a new race known as humans found the Martian portals, and began experimenting with them. This renewed the demons plight, but again, a warrior of the humans, wielding the soul cube, sent them back. Beaten, but not truly defeated, the demons called upon thier fantastic knowlege of cybernetics and fashioned a weapon of their own, the Heart of Hell. They then used its power to create three powerful HellKnight generals, known as HellHunters. With knowledge taken from the human betrayer, Dr Betruger, and the power of the Heart of Hell, the demons assailed the humans once more. However, again they were defeated, when another warrior, equal in might but far more brutal than the first, Stole the Hearts power from the HellHunters and destroyed Betrugers new demon form, the Maledict.
NOW…
The demons shall again attack the humans, the only thing stopping them from corrupting that universe, but for now they are turning their gaze to other universes so that they may become stronger, and able to take on furious powers like the soul cube without falling so easily. A breach in the fabric of space/time has allowed demons to settle unopposed in a new universe, so that they may begin their corruption.
The die is cast, the demons have arrived through the Hellgate, and the souls of strange new things are pure and hopefull…

The three resourses of demons are always tourtured souls, but each kind are far more broken then the last. They are:
1st: Tourtured Soul
2nd: Broken Soul
3rd: Abomination
TECH TREE
Demons are all treated as infantry, though some are far more powerful than even the strongest tank, and require multiple technologies to create.
Tech level: 0
nigeb :noisrucni cinomed
Lost souls: Flying skulls that attack with sharp teeth, weak but effective when encountered in large numbers... their also on fire .
No research needed. Cost 1 point
Zombies: Basic infantry created from tortured souls possessing the living. Melee warriors with slight ranged capabilities.
requires Zombification (5).
Cost 1 point.
Revenant: a possessed skeleton of an unfortunate human, still dripping with gore. Similar to a zombie but armed with devastating shoulder rockets.
requires Zombification research(5), missle cowling research required (10).
Cost 1 point
Imps: Basic demon. Has ranged and melee capabilities in the form of fireballs and claws. More durable than an average human.
Demonology research required (10 days)
Cost 1 point
Demon (pinky): Pink horrors with huge mouths and strong legs. Able to quickly enter melee with fast, unpredictable movements.
Demonology research required (10 days), Demon summoning required (10 days).
Cost 2 points
Tech level: I
sobohP :noisrucni cinomed
Note:demonology must be researched before this tech level can be reached
HellKnight: More than double the toughness of a standard demon, the HellKnight could be seen as a Super-Imp. Attacks with large fireballs and muscular blows.
Requires: Pentagram configuration: thginKlleH (15) requires medium fireballs (15)
Cost 2 points
Cacodemon: A large, spherical creture. Inset into its red, bulbous form are a number of horns, a single green eye, and a huge mouth. Capable of generating powerful (abet slow moving) ball-lightning blasts from its throat at long range, the Cacodemon can bring its sharp teeth into a melee if nessesary. The Cacodemon floats through an unseen forcem, and count as airborn units.
Requires: Demonic floatation field (15), Pentagram configuration: nomedocac (15), medium fireballs (15)
Cost 2 points
Heavy-Weapons Dude: a zombified commando branishing a huge chaingun and equipt with thick armour. An endless stream of coagulated blood pours forth from the HWD's mouth, a demoralising sight to any enemy.
Requires: Zombification (5), combat armour (15 days), Heavy chaingun (25 days)
Cost 4 points
Baron of Hell: Huge goat-headed demons. Thier powerful claws and sizable musclature make mince-meat of foes up close, and the green comet-like flames it produces from its hands give it considerable ranged prowess.
Requires: Pentagram configuration: lleH fo noraB (20) requires large fireballs (25)
Cost 4 points
Tech level: II
someiD :noisrucni cinomed
Arch-Vile: A demonic commando, of sorts. The Arch-Vile appears disturbingly human, but mishapen and brimming with insane amounts of Hellish 'magic'. The Arch-Vile can cause the ground beneath its enemies feet to flare up with flames, or clear entire rooms with walls of supernatural fire. Perhaps most viciously of all the Arch Vile acts as a conduit to Hell, summoning new demons to the battle and resurecting Dead ones with jolts of orange Hell-energy. Requires Pentagram configuration: eliv-hcrA, Requires fire field (30) Requires Hell-streaming (35)
Cost 5 points
Pain elemental: A close relative to the cacodemon, the only real aethetic difference between them being that the Pain Elemental has globby brown skin and two short arms. However, the Elemental has a far different method of attacking. Inside its gullet, the elemental generates lost souls, and then spits them at high speeds. Not only does this attack convey immpressive concusive force, but the lost soul then begins tearing at the enemy with its teeth. A few Pain Elementals can take on entire platoons, as the sheer amount of lost souls they create can bolster thier attacking power considerably, and when they die, a large amount of lost souls burst from their brown flesh. Like cacodemons, they are air units.
Requires Demonic floatation field (15) Requires Pentagram configuration: latnemelE niaP (25) Requires soul splitting(35)
Cost 5 points
Mancubus: Horrible, bloated, and a pain to take down, Muncubi fill the role of heavy tank in the Demonic legions. A tandemount to the demons mastery of Cybernetics, the Mancubi have a Hell-energy generator pod imbedded in thier back and dual fireball/flamethrower projectors have replaced their arms. The Mancubi lurch forward, picking of infantry and armour with ease, and absorbing the most powerful attacks as though they were a mere annoyance. However, the Mancubus' huge bulk makes them extremely slow, but fleet of foot has no negative effect on the macubi's increadable force of flame.
Requires: Thick Hide (35), Dual flamethrowers (30), Pentagram configuration: subucnaM (25)
Cost 5 points
Arachnotron: Miniture versions of the Spider-Mastermind, these spider demons are little more than a brain (with a snarling face) mounted in a walking travel frame. The travel frame allows them to travel quickly over the most inhospitible terrain. Mounted in the frame is a powerful automatic plasma gun.
Requires: Spider-Demon frame manufacturing(29), Requires Pentagram configuration: nortonhcarA (29), Requires plasma-gun (25)
Cost 4 points
Special Tech:
Thick Hide must be researched before this tech level is obtained.
Cyberdemon: 'Hells ultimate warrior'. The Cyberdemon is the epitome of demonic biocybernetics. The ten metre tall monster has the thickest skin of any demon, and this, combined with internal cybernetics and Hell-metal rienforcement make the cyberdemon nigh-unkillable (even the fabled spider-demons are not as tough!). Its huge size and cyberneticaly inhanced leg allow it to crush anything underfoot, and its left arm has been replaced with a gigantic repeating rocket launcher.
The Cyberdemon can be killed, but the sheer amount of forces expended to do so (coupled with the volatile nature of the Cyberdemons internal systems when breached...read as they explode) would make any victory highly pyrrhic.
Requires Full-Scale Hell Incursion (50)
Costs 1000 points.
Only one cyberdemon can be trained at a time.
Heroes:
Baphomet, The Icon of Sin: The supreame overlord of the demonic incursions, the Icon of Sin is a huge goat-skull like Demon inset into a wall in the Deepest parts of Hell. It is also known as the Demon-spitter, the Gatekeeper, or simply the Final Boss. The Icon is insenced that Hell has failed to permiate into new dimensions, and ordered the entire forces of Hell to pour through any Dimensional cracks that form in the fabric of space and time. Demons currently lay siege to thousands of other universes. Some are waning, pushed back by increadable technology or forces that even the demons cannot fathom. Others have already won, it's simply a matter of time before Hell spreads its foul grip over reality.
To personaly oversee the demonic expansion, the Icon has ordered itself to be mounted on a gigantic floating dias armed with advanced cybernetic technology. It is this newfound mobility that allows the Icon to join battles, recieving protection from the hourdes of demons it controls, whilst attacking with its strange demon spawing...
...the icon taps into the raw energy that makes up Hell, and births Demons directly from its brain. It does this by creating cubes of hellish energy, adorned with horrific imagery, and projecting them from a hole on its forehead. The cubes are intangeble untill they reach thier target, at which point they suddenly become ripe with energy. They explode inside targets they have flown into and release the demon inside. Anyone and anything unfortunate enough to be in the way of the cube during its detination are tele-fraged instantly.
No weapon can penetrate the Icons armoured skull. However, it is not invincible, as foes that manage to draw near enough to get a clear shot can attemp to fire shots into the weak point that is the hole to its brain. The Icon can still withstand a sizable amount of direct hits to its brain before it must warp back to Hell to recover.
Whether or not the Icon is the supreame ruler of Hell is debateable. If it is not, then the power of the demon that is must be...unimaginable...
The presence of The icon motivates Demons to create a living sheild around its Dias. This dramaticaly decreases the chances of an enemy getting close enough to inflict damage to the Icon, and in turn the icon spawns more demons to replace the fallen.
The Spider Mastermind: Behind each invasion there is a Spider-demon. In its vast supercomputer of a brain, the Mastermind calculates the best stratergies for incursion, battle, movement and any other aspect of the demons crusade that is not "KILL" or "TOURTURE". While the Spiderdemon rarely takes to the battle field, it is quite proficient at the arts of battle. Inset into its travel frame is an immense chain-shotgun. The gun has a relitivly short effective range, only around 80-100 metres, but the Masterminds huge cranial capacity allow it to devise the perfect aim that will allow every one of the Hell-metal pellets to find it's mark.
The spider mastermind always surrounds itself with a retinue of smaller arachnotrons for added firepower and protection.
The precence of a Spider Mastermind greatly increases organisation of the Demonic forces it leads, giving them an extra supercalculated edge over thier foes.
Spacecraft:While Demons have moved around the multiverse almost exclusively by portals, thier new tactics call for their ancient spacecraft to be used again.
Demons in their own right, the space ships of Hell are forged from steel, stone, flesh, bone and corruption...
There are three sizes: Small (tech 0) Medium (tech 1) and Large (tech 2)...Demonic technology is on the rise, however, and more ship types may yet be revealed...
Tech upgrades:
Demons use the highest research available to them to determine thier attack, defence and speed. They require all the tech under thier names to be trained.
Zombification: Measure of a zombie’s defence, attack (melee and ranged) and speed.
Missile cowling: Increases Revenant ranged attack power
Demonology: Allows access to demons. Measure of defence, attack (melee and ranged for imps) and speed.
Demon summoning: Increases Pinky demons defence, attack (melee) and speed.
Pentagram configuration: thginKlleH: Measure of a Hell knights defence, attack (melee and ranged) and speed.
Medium fireballs: Increases hell knight and Cacodemon ranged attack power.
Demonic floatation field: measure of speed for Cacodemons and Pain Elementals. Unit counts as airborne.
Pentagram configuration: nomedocac: Measure of a cacodemons defence and attack (melee and ranged).
Combat armour: Increases HWD’s defence.
Heavy chain gun: Increases HWD’s ranged attack.
Pentagram configuration: lleH fo noraB: Measure of a Baron of Hell’s defence, attack (melee and ranged) and speed.
Large fireballs: Increases ranged attack power.
Pentagram configuration: eliv-hcrA: Measure of an Arch-Viles defence, attack (melee and ranged) and speed.
Fire field: Increases ranged and melee attack power.
Hell streaming: Allows the arch vile to bolster forces in the midst of battle. In the battle tactics, the spider mastermind (myself) will state which unit the Arch-Viles are accompanying. This unit gains 5 days of research strength to its defence.
Pentagram configuration: latnemelE niaP: Measure of a Pain elementals defence and attack (melee and ranged).
Soul splitting: Increases Pain Elementals ranged abilities. In the battle tactics, the spider mastermind (myself) will state which unit of lost souls the Pain Elementals are accompanying. These lost souls count as research level 10.
Thick Hide: the first step in the creation of a cyber demon is to start growing thick hide. Acts as a measure of defence.
Dual flamethrowers: Measure of a mancubi’s attack (ranged and melee).
Pentagram configuration: subucnaM: Acts as a measure of a Mancubi’s speed.
Spider-Demon frame manufacturing: Increases an arachnotrons speed and defence
Pentagram configuration: nortonhcarA: measure of the arachnotrons speed and defence
Plasma-gun: measure of an arachnotrons attack (ranged).
Full-Scale Hell Incursion: allows the creation of a cyberdemon one-off unit. This unit is not a hero. Measure of a cyberdemons defence, attack (melee and ranged) and speed.
Spectre field: Converts Pinky demons into spectres. spectres are the same as pinkies, but are transparent. This gives them an extra tactical edge that increases the chance they will reach the enemy for CC without falling to arms fire.
Demonic technology has improved greatly, as the Demons crusades absorb more and more races. More innovations may be added to the list in future…
