Facade, are you proposing we use the board you have created for the Ex-Uni game? I thought that was for a seperate game.

Nevertheless, why do we even need to swap forums? I simply suggested we do it to get rid of the pre-game development clutter once everything was complete.

Is there a need for more Mods? Once the game is underway all mods do is make sure everyones doing it right. Its a status that can simply be endowed and thats that, none of this official "Im a Mod cos an admin gave me control over the site." buisness.

granting Modship is as simple as saying "Okay, your a mod", there is no need to actually make them a moderator of the site. Think, on the Tyranid Hive how did you decide mods?

This forum is fine, we dont need site mods, we need GAME mods, and those are easy to make

Umm. I don't think you quite understood me.
What I'm saying is, if people here really want to, we can Swap Forums. So what I'm proposing is that players leave this Forum for mine. I know it sounds haughty and a bit arrogant, but beleive me, I only want to see this Game prosper. It is a great one.

Now, our New version is not something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. No, what it is, is a slightly larger version of the Game (Because I have found an interesting way to gather a good handful of Members) that focuses on larger Events, Wars, Technology, Planets, Systems, and much more.
It is a big step if we decide to leave this Forum, but look at it this way. The one I made with the help of others is nicely organized, and still preserves the uniqueness of Franchise Wars Original. All it needs is some tweaks (and help from Members like Goldeneye) to succeed.
Trust me on this.
And if you really don't want to....well, at least read the Rules. I already replied to your PM. The Rules are more than Halfway done.

And for those of you who are/were Mods here or on TTH, you will still get your Equal position in the New Forum if you choose to do so.

Give it a shot guys, it's not something out of this world. Much ^-^. Go join and see if you like what you see.

(And I'm not dissing what Goldeneye & Name have worked on. I recognize the work put into this Game and Forum. Things aren't drastically different on the new one)

I think that should we move, Goldeneye should have motza power over the rules... he is the one who brought us all Franchise wars after all.

If facade want to write his own ruleset thats fine with me, i'm not here to impose my rules on every single different interpretation of the game. But I can always take a scan and give facade a few opinions if he don't mind of course.

I'll take a look sometime this weekend facade, see what i think.

I think what facade's suggesting is that due to the lack of tools at my disposal and the possible effect it may have, we should use a board where these tools are available. By all means though, i'm not giving up on this game, and i hope even though facade's taken up his own version he'll still be around to help us out here and supply us with a few ideas.

Saying that, over the next three days I'll be accepting everyone's franchises and making final tweaks to the rules. After that the game will begin, and everyone will be assigned a planet and star system by Ghost (seeing as he knows about the galactic map a little better than the rest of us).

The game boards will be cleared and the threads and message boards will be created. You will get your password for your board by PM. So keep checking over the next three days as the game is starting.

Im thinking we should all start in the Kauruva system, its small and would fit everyone nicly without complicating anything much.

BTW goldeneye, there should be an admin icon in the bar with "home, help... logout, shop" that gives you access to everything, and will allow you to delete the board once we get it all set or whatever.

yea there is, i've known about that for a while and been using it, my problem is that i have no power to upgrade members status so that they can do it too, cause there may be times when i'm needed and can't make it.

ghost, i'm thinking of starting people a little further away from each other than one system can hold, can you divide us all up into two or three systems?

Well, I made my own Forum. But that has nothing to with this, unless you would like to transfer the Game to my New Forum. Here's the link:

What it is, is we need to find a way to finally organize all this. So it may start.

My idea was to transfer it all to my New Forum. We have made some very nice adjusted Rules and have it all SET for Take-Off.
We even made a Trailer Video.

That, and Goldeneye needs to be promoted if you decide not to move Forums.

basically facade's made his own offshoot, and there's been talks that in case you couldn't come back we'd move over there. Like i said in that pm i can't manage this myself and we just had no idea where you were, so if we all moved to facades, at least I had the tools to make new mods, or someone did at least.
